The essence of a person's nature and physique can be captured onto a painting with only a few areas of light and dark. These simple and eye-catching portraits truly define individuals by focusing on certain key elements and important features. The flat areas of colour enables one's eyes to focus on the blank spaces, and stimulate the eye and brain to try and grasp the undefined.
The painting is never fully spelled out, which according to Albert Einstein, would be beautiful.
Sample Portraits:
SUBJECT MATTER: just send me a close up of your favourite picture of your face (or a friend or celebrity's...) and I'll see what I can do.
Tip: pictures with well defined light and dark areas work the best, along with big and simple features.
COLOURS: tell me what colours you want, or send me a sample/swatch of the colours you want. I will try my best to match the colour.
SIZES AND PRICES: after the composition and size are confirmed, prices will be adjusted accordingly to the specific size and subject matter of your painting. Shipping costs will be extra. (Price estimates are also avaliable if the desired size is given)
FRAMING: All paintings will be acrylic paint on stretched canvas with finished sides, so paintings are ready to hang without a frame.
