"Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it" -Dalai Lama

This quote is reassuring. I have lost count of how many Fridays I've stayed home working on pinc stuff, and the Saturdays I've left early to work more. Being a full-time student in university with two majors and a demanding teaching practicum placement, I have very little free time. When I am not at school or studying, my 'free' time is devoted to working on PIncstuff or else there would be no way I could keep up. Its tough because that often means time away from my friends. There are times when I wish I could leave my responsibilities and go out like other 'carefree' 22 year olds. (They are not actually 'carefree', but I think the partying helps them forget their problems).
Our society has set this age for the peak of partying, and sometimes I feel like I should be spending more time doing that. But that only lasts for a few moments, because I know that what you get out of life depends on what you put into it. Life is like money, and we have to think carefully about how we spend our time. Personally, being productive is very important to me. Yes, partying is fun, but to a certain extent. I do not wish to party my life away because quite frankly, it can be a waste of time.
