Hi everyone!

Gosh it's been long since I've updated. Almost 2 years O___O Time really flies! Life is always busy... I've been working, and enjoyed my summers of freedom, traveling to foreign lands whenever I can!

Also went to almost 10 weddings this year...

What can I say, we're getting old and friends are getting married left right and centre!

Friends at church still laugh at how they met me online before I showed up. Youtube was definitely an interesting chapter of my life before adult life kicked in! Haha.

Haven't been up to much other than that. Still teaching! At a different school yet again. I've taught such a range of things, but art is still my passion. This semester I have Gr 12 Food and Nutrition (we get to cook, so it's fun!), Gr 10 Art (yay), and a Gr 10 Math (not a math person... don't ask).

I finally got an instagram account: http://instagram.com/pincstuff Don't use it often, but I update tidbits of life here and there! ^___^

Hope you are all well~

xoxo

Greetings

Picture of Kevin O'Leary and I

I used to be SUCH a big fan of Dragon's Den, and occasionally caught an episode of Shark Tank as well. So when my dad pointed out that Kevin O'Leary (who i sometimes listen to on cbc)
was at a family wedding we went to one night, I totally freaked! I was SO excited to see him in real life, I never thought it would happen!

I took a deep breath and walked over. I tried to keep my cool but all that came out was 'HI KEVIN, I'm a HUGE fan of yours, CAN I GET A PICTURE?!' I must have sounded like a crazy stalker... But he was super nice, and I have to say, it totally made my night. I half expected him to be rude like his TV persona. Stupid me was looking away cause I had my sister take a picture on my iphone. Anyway, how cool is his pink tie huh?

My friend asked me if I asked Kevin to invest in Pincstuff worth $1 million. Haha, I thought about it, but I think he would have said "Your evaluation is insane, and for that reason, I'm out" LOL!

Anyway, I realized I've been completely missing in the cyber world. I miss you guys a LOT, and I'm alive!!! Adult life has just taken over and time sure goes by FAST when you're BUSY!! With the holiday season right around the corner, it reminds me of the all the little baked treats I used to make. So I posted them up for your viewing ^^ Anyway, miss you all very much, definitely miss talking and sharing with you guys on ze internet, but will try to update again soon! Hope you are all well!

Sending lots of love your way, whatever way that may be~

xoxo

Long weekend~

Happy Family Day long weekend to those of you who have it! It's been a while since I've updated, and it's only fair I let you guys in on the loop. I can tell a handful of you are wondering where I've been and why I've disappeared.

For those of you who don't know, I am a new high school teacher, and Pinc Stuff was started in my university years as a hobby. I learned a lot throughout undergrad, and it was nice to have a business running on the side while I was in school. However, since I started my first job, my students quickly found me online through youtube, and it was difficult to separate my online persona with my teacher one. I really had to make a decision and focus my time and energy into the career I've always dreamed of.

Update on the work situation, I recently transferred to a new school and I have to drive half way across the city every day. I leave ridiculously early in the morning, and spend my free time planning and prepping for upcoming lessons. My days are long, but I am very thankful for the opportunity. You have to pay your dues when you're a newbie!

I'm also teaching a business course: Entrepreneurship that I'm enjoying. I tell my students about my experience running a business, and bring it up as an example when we're discussing certain terms. One student asked me how old I was because I sound like I've done so much, haha! I said I ran my business while I was in school... I'm not THAT old... yet.

As always, I hope you're all doing well, and thank you for stopping by~ I wish you all the very best in your journey in life <3

Quick update: I've been really busy lately with super long days. Just thought I'd update you all after MIA for so long!

It's definitely been a rough week... at work and in general. There are always so many choices to make: what I want to do, and what I should do. Unfortunately, the two things I love to do, teaching and working on Pinc Stuff + related videos do not mix. I decided to shut the store down earlier this year because of work, that was something that had to be done. In order to be great at something, I need to really focus my time and energy into it. Although I'd love to work on many things, I knew I had to choose, otherwise I'd become medicore at everyhing.

Something else I've finally decided to do last night is to take down 200+ of my videos on youtube, especially the ones that are not Pinc Stuff related. The profession and career that I chose cannot mix with my onilne presence, especially with the clientele I serve. After thinking long and hard, I finally mustered up the courage to take down and erase something I truly enjoy doing, at least for the time being.

The past few years I've experienced a lot of personal growth, and really learned a lot running Pinc Stuff along side of getting my education and more recently getting my career started. Both I've worked equally hard for, but at the moment, I can only do so much.

There is so much I will miss, but sometimes it's easier not to think about it and remember the bigger picture.
